Q-tips or cotton buds were invented by Leo Gerstenzang. He had initially named them ‘baby gays’ but later renamed them to ‘Q-tips Baby Gays’. The ‘Q’ in q-tips stands for Quality.
Interestingly, q-tips started finding their use in makeup removal!
